Flautas Mexicanas - Double Clay Aztec Style Flute with Vibrating Sound Quality
Description
This is a new type of flute that I am starting to make. The interesting thing about this one is that it tends to have a shrill type sound when you play some notes. That vibrating type sound is not me manipulating my breath pattern at all; rather, the construction and tunning of the flute creates a type of pulsating sound when you play some notes. I probably wouldn't perform a piece like this, rather I am playing this piece to try to provide examples of the vibrating type sounds the flute can produce. These sounds were believed to be used in ceremonial and healing purposes.
